Iowa Children's Choice Award Books
The Iowa Children's Choice Award is given to an outstanding book each year. A list of fifteen to twenty-five books is created and the books on the list must meet a set of guidelines. The books are geared for third through sixth grade students. Students are encouraged to read the books on the list. Students may vote each spring for their favorite book and one winner is chosen to receive the award. Last year's winner was Ellie's Story by Bruce Cameron.
