Spring 2013
Books from the PTO
All students in grades preschool through fourth were given a free book to take home and keep. This event was made possible by the hard work and dedication of the Prairie View PTO. They donated money so that each student at View could select and keep a book. Classes visited the library in May to choose their books and had time to sit around the "campfire" and enjoy what they had chosen! Thanks again, PTO!

Author Visit!
Prairie View students had the pleasure of spending time with author Jacqueline Briggs Martin on February 6, 2013. She shared stories about her life and books, how she gets ideas for her books, and tips for how students can get ideas for their own stories. She even gave autographs for some classes that were excited to meet her! What a fun experience for our students!
