We are excited to announce that we have some MakerKits available for classrooms to check out. The MakerKits are meant to promote creativity, problem solving, engineering and collaboration. The kits include a story with discussion points and a challenge for students to complete individually, in small groups or as a whole class. Some students worked with Mrs. Heintz and participated in the activity for the Three Billy Goats Gruff MakerKit. They had to use a baggie full of materials to create something that the Billy Goats could use to get to the other side of the bridge without using the bridge. Some ideas that they came up with were a hot air balloon, a zipline, and a water slide. Great ideas! Another class is using the kit that goes with the book called Flight School by Lita Judge and have to create something that could help the ostrich fly. I can't wait to see those ideas too!
The book fair is coming! Please join us to find some great books at great prices. Hope to see you there!
