Third and fourth graders worked on block coding by using a Sphero robot to travel through the path of our story. Students were introduced to how the Sphero works and how to use block coding in the Sphero Edu app. We coded the Sphero to get through maze, change lights, and add sounds and words. This activity went along with a story we read and also connected to the Hour of Code activities this month.
Teachers have painted pictures to help decorate the library and show off some of their favorite characters. This has helped build excitement about reading and also promoted a love of reading to our students. Mrs. Crist unveiled her painting of Dragons Loves Tacos for her class last week and the kids absolutely love it! Thanks Mrs. Crist!
